The Tale behind Pastel and Mini
Pastel and Mini is a family-owned business that is passionate about creating stylish handbags and gorgeous accessories for children. Our style is whimsical and fun, and our goal is to provide the highest quality products for our customers so they will keep coming back to us. Each design is handcrafted with love and care and we hope you will love our products as much as we do.
Our Story
It was a few days before the birthday of a young family member, and we really wanted to buy that special gift that would make her smile with excitement when she opened it! So - with enthusiasm we ventured out on a shopping trip, positive that we would come back with that 'special' something. Even before we had reached the shops, we decided on a handbag - something that was well made, mini (for a young child) and pretty - after all, lots of young-ones (well - lots of people in general) love handbags! We searched high and low, pounding the pavement of our local shopping center.
Our goal was obvious to us - we wanted something that was not childish, had pretty patterns and would match a number of outfits...and of course had a matching purse (small expectations). Unfortunately, we did not find what we wanted, unless we purchased a mini adult bag.

So - Pastel and Mini was formed - with the plan to not only sell handbags that children will love, but to provide a memorable experience - where the excitement starts with the box and in that box is not just a bag, but the purse, the wristlet to carry the purse, a shoulder strap for every bag and to top it off - a gorgeous accessory.

Our products have been designed to be whimsical and fun with cute patterns and pretty colors but also to be practical and useable. We use a number of hand-painted and printed art pieces designed especially for Pastel and Mini and our bags are hand sewn with care using only quality materials. However, we are not stopping there, we are planning on extending our range to different styles of bags and mini accessories for each bag.
What We Love
We love anything that is whimsical, fits within our Mini Bags and creates memories.
Our Focus
To source and sell a product that we would have loved to receive as children.
Our Strategy
Pastel and Mini would love to see a lot of children with our bags and accessories. We will continue to grow by creating new designs that will be treasured for years to come. Inspiration Behind Our Name
Pastel and Mini closely represents what we sell. Pastel is our color scheme (we try to avoid dark colors) and Mini is the size of our products.
Our Colours
Our color scheme is pink, green and white. We have incorporated some red in our recent 'fairy and mushroom artwork. Our packaging is either the Pastel and Mini shop or white packaging with gold artwork
